The Mahoning Shenango Kennel Club donated about 400 bags of dog food and $1000.00 to Second Harvest Food Bank in Youngstown. This donation may allow families to keep their dogs rather than give them up due to temporary hardship. 

 

2014

The MSKC donated $1000.00 to Animal Charity Humane Dept. to help with costs incurred in the seizure of 100 dogs from a puppy mill in Smith Township Ohio.

2013

The MSKC donated $5,000.00 to the Mahoning County Dog Pound And Adoption Center toward the veterinary costs of the dogs at the pound.  The check was made payable to "Friends of Fido" a rescue organization that handles much of the medical costs of the dogs at the pound.

Bearded Collie Rescue - $250.00

2012

The MSKC donated $2,500.00 to the ASPCA to help with relief for the pets affected by Hurricane Sandy.

 

The MSKC donated $3,200.00 worth of dog food to The Second Harvest Food Bank to help area families feed their pets. (MSKC) made a donation of 400 (20 lb) bags of super-premium mix dog food provided by Blackwood Pet Food to Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. This donation was made possible from the funds raised from the MSKC’s Annual Dog Show and through the help of Blackwood Pet Food of Lisbon Ohio. Rogers Feed Mill of Rogers Ohio delivered the 8,000 pounds of dog food to the Food Bank free of charge.
